We like to move it move it!

Every Tuesday and Friday we have a high energy, hugely varied, heart rate rising day planned. Squad Sport is a day full of inclusive games and training situated in different environments, from the park to the gym to the pool. We aim to reduce all screen time on our sport day to help our members build strong hearts and minds. We have so much fun and variety that it distracts everyone from the energy we are burning. 

We’ll pick members up from their doorstep (or pre-planned convenient location) and drop them home safely at the end of each day. We kick the day off by enjoying the morning sunshine at a local park with warm up exercises, stretches and inclusive games of Bocce’ / soccer /  Indoor Volleyball (all modified for maximum inclusion). We then head to the best gym facility in Western Australia @ Roar247 Bibra Lake /Cockburn Arc, where we have negotiated a great CAS entry price for our members.

Roar247 boasts 3 large gym floor areas with brand new state of the art equipment maintained to the highest standard. They also have squash/ badminton/ volleyball/ tennis courts, an indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool + slide, steam room, saunas, spa, group training rooms, excellent cafe with large play area. We have been using these flawless facilities since our very first CAS week in 2015, which means the Roar staff know our members  very well and make sure they’re welcomed into this healthy and positive community. Cockburn Arc has the newest facilities and equipment with an impressive location over looking the Dockers training ground.

There’s a wide range of activities for squad members  to participate in, from leading our fun high energy and music charged spin class, taking the stage at our yoga session,  or even keeping the energy flowing on our therapy gong.

If individual activities are more appealing, members can hit the cardio machines or be assisted using the weighted machines. We’ll ensure all exercises are performed safely with the appropriate weight, correct form and movements. After the gym session members can relax in the spa or continue to improve their fitness by swimming laps in the 25 meter heated pool or outside pool.

Our Squad Leaders play a very active role on sport days by getting completely involved in all activities, motivating members to try new things  and showing them  the skills required to keep fit and healthy.  If you have a specialized physio/ OT plan you’d like us to incorporate into your gym session we will happily accommodate or we can have those professionals meet us on the day to train our Squad Leaders in the specifics.

We have an extensive list of aims and goals we strive to achieve with our members accessing life-long learning, daily living skills, and community and civic participation. Squad Sport is all about making friends and maintaining existing relationships. Once you are an active member of CAS you will have access to your local hub calendar to pick and choose all your favorite upcoming events. There is no commitment to attend every outing as we like to give greater choice and control to our participants. Simply confirm bookings using our user friendly monthly forms.
