Frequently asked questions…
Is there an age limit?
The Community Access Squad would best suit participants aged 13+
What cities do you currently operate in?
Cities of Cockburn, Fremantle, Melville, Canning, Kwinana, Stirling, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River.
I live outside of the current service areas, can we arrange a meeting point within one of the operating areas?
Yes, please make contact and we can arrange a place to suit. In our registration form (join) you will find our pick up locations closest to you if we do not have a CAS operating within your city boundaries.
Can we visit an event first to see if it would be a good fit for us?
Yes, and we would recommend this.
What do members gain out of our organised events?
All our events have pre-determined skills and aims for all activities and can be adjusted specifically for an all inclusive event. We encourage and teach our members to unlock skills and gain confidence through social interactions, social management, and independent living to help bring out the best in themselves.
Do you offer a pick up and drop off service?
Yes, for a daily fee we will pick you up from home and drop you off within a ten minute window pre-organised. (the daily fee will be covered under your funding)
Our mobile program offers a pick-up and drop-off service within the areas of Fremantle, Cockburn, Striling, kwinana, Busselton, Margaret River, Bunbury, Canning and Melville. With our eyes on the future, we aim to grow and provide our services to engage more like-minded individuals from all other areas of WA; to provide them with the same unique programs we offer for their own personal and social development.
Can we join one or two events every now and then?
Yes, there is no weekly obligation. We are very flexible to suit your needs and timetable.
What if I need to cancel an event?
Cancellations must be made >1 week before start of the event time to avoid the usual costs.
Do you offer one to one care outside of CAS events?
Yes, we will let you know the hours our carers are available if you are interested in the CAS CARE section of our service. All one to one personal care is charged under our CAS service for insurances and to avoid conflicts of interest.
What hours/ days/ weeks do you operate events?
We operate events Tuesday to Friday roughly 8.30 to 3.30 dependent on location. We close down on public holidays and have our shut down period from December 25th to January 1st. See our monthly calendar for all events once you have registered to become a member.
Do I have to come out every week? how many events can I attend a week?
One of our best CAS qualities comes with our flexibility to suit you. You can come out once a week, or once a month or even once a year, or maybe you just want to use our CAS Care 1:1 service. We have no permanent positions and you can book into as many or as little events as you choose. We actually prefer you to choose the events you are most excited about. We never want any one forced to come out or attend an event they really are not interested in.
How many people go out on an event?
We aim to have 6 to 7 participants per van per event with 3 to 5 staff (dependent on event type and participant needs).
When will you be operating in other cities?
We plan to expand indefinetly across WA and eventually Australia. We are looking for the best Squad Captains to lead our new squads all over WA with cities that have a population >40,000. If you feel you have the skills, passion and knowledge to run one of your franchises please get in touch. We don’t sell our franchises and we don’t allow anyone to just take over an area. We look for the right person with the right qualities and we help you build your own Squad after working alongside us in our current cities.
