Luke  Community Access Squad Owner  Luke developed Community Access Squad in 2015 after 8 years working in special education from K1 to K13 as initially an education assistant and eventually a teacher. Qualified and experienced in Sport Science and Secondary Education from Murdoch University and with a vast experience across many industries that have all combined perfectly to run this unique social enterprise. A huge love for Perth and WA with a passion for caring, exploring, health, sports, fun, photography and nature.

Sarah

CAS Cockburn / Kwinana / Stirling Director

Sarah has been with CAS since our first event in 2015, and will be around until we’re running senior programs for the participants who are now 20 years old. With a wide range of experience running programs for young people, she took her Diploma of Auslan Interpreting to secondary school education support. Sarah loves the role CAS plays in supporting individuals as they transition from school to increased independence. She is constantly working to support her team and provide the best possible service to the community. Sarah is passionate about being inclusive of all individual needs and is excited for everything that the future holds for CAS.

Adam  CAS Fremantle / Melville Director Tuesday - Wednesday- Thursday - Friday - SaturdayAdam has a rich past in business management across multiple industries and is loving the new mix of business and support worker life style. Adams high energy and excitement for adventure makes him perfect for the CAS team. A great mentor for all our Squaddies. Adam

Adam has a rich past in business management across multiple industries and is loving the new mix of business and support worker life style. Adams high energy and excitement for adventure makes him perfect for the CAS team. A great mentor for all our Squaddies. Jack

CAS Cockburn / Kwinana Squad Leader and 2IC

Jack started working with CAS at the end of 2021 while seeking a career change after 5 years working for the federal government. Jack‘s broad experience has been gained from over a decade working with young people in various care settings, as well as several leadership roles for Services Australia. Study has supplemented their experience with qualifications including a Communications and Media Studies degree from UWA. Jack has a passion for personal and professional development and has completed courses such as beginners Auslan, Bronze Medallion, and several field specific first aid units. Their free time is spent playing softball and caring for their many pets.

Sergey

CAS Fremantle / Melville / Canning Manager

I have worked for over 7 years full time as a Support worker. I find support work challenging yet fulfilling and I love every moment of what I do. I love helping people, keeping active, bike riding, hiking, nature and just to be different. I am a cat person.

Marthe

CAS Cockburn / Kwinana Manager

Marthe finished her bachelor’s degree in education, specializing in education support for people with disabilities in Germany before moving to Australia in 2020. During her studies she worked in a number of special education schools as a teacher’s assistant, to further her knowledge and to gain practical experience. With her dad, uncle and sister working in this field, she knew early on she also wanted to dedicate her life towards supporting people with additional needs. 

Her love for adventures, the outdoors and helping people means that Marthe was well suited for this career.

As the Cockburn and Kwinana manager she found a new challenge that keeps her on her toes and teaches her new things every day.

Aleisha

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Aleisha is a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with varied experience as an education assistant and a disability support worker. Aleisha has worked with CAS since 2018 assisting young adults in accessing the community and developing independent living skills. Aleisha has certifications II-IV in Education Support. Aleisha also has a side hobby making body products that she enjoys to do when she is not busy at work or making new memories with her children.

Kattareeya
Squad Leader - Fremantle / Melville / Canning

I started working with CAS straight after I finished my certificate III in individual support in aging and disability in 2022. Before CAS, I was working in an agriculture factory for over 3 years while seeking a career change and trying to find different experiences in life. I have vast experience working with people since I finished high school in 2015 as a customer service within the hospitality industry. I love working with CAS and am willing to gain more experience in life while helping to support others.
I am interested in traveling, digital drawings, drawing Webtoons, creating manga projects, cooking, and of course being a food lover!

Jacob

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Jacob has been working with CAS for over a year now and loves every bit of it. Jacob is currently working part time as he’s a full time University student studying Management and Finance. While he didn’t have any previous professional experience in this industry, Jacob was very eager to take on all the learnings that come with support work. When he’s  not working at CAS Jacob loves doing anything with his friends in the outdoors from camping to sports activities.

Deklan

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Deklan had been a part of CAS since 2016, volunteering whilst in high school and is now part of the core team. He is always inclusive and works to make all activities accessible to everyone. He has demonstrated this by studying Auslan Certificate 2 and 3. In his spare time Deklan plays Futsal, watches sport and plays video games. He has supported his Futsal club by helping coach and train teams, whilst showing a leadership role.

Matt

Squad Leader - Fremanlte / Melville / Canning

My background is a professional IT engineer from Jakarta, I felt the need to find a role more people orientated and since crossing paths with the Squad I haven't looked back! I have been with the Squad for a couple of years now and really enjoy working with our amazing participants. My hobbies include walking my dog, going down south, travelling , catching up with friends + family and going out for a quality meal.

I have been a support worker for a number of years now and deep down I really enjoy helping people however I can. I have had support experience in groups and in 1:1 and enjoy both equally. Music is a big part of my life and I enjoy travelling and experiencing new things.

Ciara

Squad Leader - Cockburn / kwinana

Ciara is from Ireland, moving to Perth in Feb 2020 and absolutely loves it here! Ciara was a support worker with another company when she heard about CAS and the wonderful things it does. She started with CAS in September. CAS is an amazing place to work, every day is so enjoyable. Ciara is currently studying Individual Support (disability). In her spare time she loves going to the beach with her dog.

Zel

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Zel has been working for CAS since the beginning of 2023. She graduated from university last year with a degree in Counselling, and has a lot of experience working with young people. When she’s not working with CAS, you can find her working as a school counsellor for both primary and secondary students. Zel has always had a passion for youth and young people, encouraging and empowering them to live their best lives. Working with CAS has only deepened that desire, and loves seeing our participants enjoying life and having fun.

Hi I’m Emily, I just recently graduated high school and am going to uni to study a bachelor of primary education! I have had lots of experience working with kids and young people in my community and have always wanted to get into support work as I will be specialising in special needs in my degree. I love working with CAS and getting to help and support in every way possible.

I am a qualified school teacher specializing in English and decided on a sea change by Joining the Squad. Everyday is an adventure and bringing new experiences to our participants is a very rewarding feeling. My hobbies include keeping fit, food, catching up with family & friends, comedy and swimming in arctic-like conditions. @adrian.alaberg

Luella

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Luella started work with CAS two years ago after she took a semester off nursing school. The semester off turned into her leaving university altogether and she’s been doing support work ever since! Through working with CAS, Lu has found a passion for sign language and has so far done two Auslan beginner courses at TAFE and is wanting to continue studying sign language next year. In her free time, Luella loves reading and going to the beach.

Georgia started working with the Community Access Squad in 2023. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology at Curtin University. Georgia loves obsessing over her dog, listening to music, and exploring nature!

Sam

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Sam joined CAS in January 2023 and loves being part of the Squad! She recently returned to Perth after 8 years working and travelling parts of Australia with her family. Sam has a strong background in child and youth work, particularly education support for young people with disabilities, youth mental health, and working with young Indigenous people and their families. Sam has a certificate 3 in Education Support and is currently completing a Bachelor of Human Services. When she’s not working or studying, Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends, weekends away, singing, and good coffee and food.

Max

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Max started working with CAS as part of his gap year after deferring from a Bachelor of Engineering at Curtin University. Even before working with CAS he has always had a passion for support work, which started with supporting a relative with Cerebral Palsy. In his spare time Max loves going to the beach and spending time with mates.

Christina
Squad Leader - Fremantle / Melville / Canning

Cristina has been working as a support worker since 2021. She loves being part of a wider supporting community. Cristina has not been working for CAS for long but loves every bit of it, as every day is a new adventure.  Cristina holds a Cert 3 in Education support, Diploma of youth work, and currently finishing her studies in Diploma of community services. Her aim is to provide a safe and fun environment where participants can strengthen and develop new skills while having a good time.  Cristina is originally from Colombia and her first language is Spanish. In her spare time she likes going to new places, learning new things and spending time with her family.

Monique started working with CAS in 2023. She is studying a degree in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University after recently graduating from high school! Before joining, Monique has had personal experience working with a family member who requires extra support. This has built up her love for helping others in the community. She loves anything outdoors, arts, and making new friends!

Jarod has recently joined the CAS team and loving it. He is a qualified personal trainer and has a lots of experience of coaching disability sports and training Paralympian athletes. In his spare time he loves to play soccer, rugby and watching Harry Potter.

Brittany

Squad Leader - Cockburn / Kwinana

Brittany has been working with Community Access Squad since 2020, after moving to Perth to be closer to her younger sister. Before CAS, Brittany was an Education Assistant at a small School for Specific Purposes on the border of New South Wales and Victoria, where she had the honour of supporting students aged 4 to 18 with moderate to severe physical and intellectual disabilities. It was there that she was first introduced to a range of communication methods, including Auslan, Key Word Sign and assisted communication devices with the software Proloquo2go. Brittany has qualifications in Business and Children’s Services, with further studies in Autism and Disability Standards for Education. She is currently in the middle of studying Individual Support in Disability. If she doesn’t have a book in her hands, Brittany is enjoying quality time with my nephews or gaming with my partner.

Squad Leaders for the Cities of:

Fremantle / Melville/ Cockburn / Kwinana / Canning / Stirling / Busselton / Margaret River / Bunbury

We are looking for casual carers (and part time positions from time to time) that can work in a group or independently with our fantastic squad members.

If you are patient, organised, reliable, fun, energetic and a great communicator then we want you on our team. You must hold a criminal history clearance, valid working with children card, snr first aid certificate, a detailed resume, current drivers licence (C class) with an immaculate driving history.

CAS Care request availability:

Please let us know your availability to work alongside our squad members with one to one care if you wish to pick up extra hours.

This is a flexible service and is request dependent. The shifts usually involve weekend hours (with penalty rates) or weekday afternoons shifts.
