Sarah has been with CAS since our first event in 2015, and will be around until we’re running senior programs for the participants who are now 20 years old. With a wide range of experience running programs for young people, she took her Diploma of Auslan Interpreting to secondary school education support. Sarah loves the role CAS plays in supporting individuals as they transition from school to increased independence. She is constantly working to support her team and provide the best possible service to the community. Sarah is passionate about being inclusive of all individual needs and is excited for everything that the future holds for CAS.

Marthe

CAS Cockburn / Kwinana Manager

Marthe finished her bachelor’s degree in education, specializing in education support for people with disabilities in Germany before moving to Australia in 2020. During her studies she worked in a number of special education schools as a teacher’s assistant, to further her knowledge and to gain practical experience. With her dad, uncle and sister working in this field, she knew early on she also wanted to dedicate her life towards supporting people with additional needs. 

Her love for adventures, the outdoors and helping people means that Marthe was well suited for this career.

As the Cockburn and Kwinana manager she found a new challenge that keeps her on her toes and teaches her new things every day.

Jack

CAS Stirling 2IC

Jack started working with CAS at the end of 2021 while seeking a career change after 5 years working for the federal government. Jackβ€˜s broad experience has been gained from over a decade working with young people in various care settings, as well as several leadership roles for Services Australia. Study has supplemented their experience with qualifications including a Communications and Media Studies degree from UWA. Jack has a passion for personal and professional development and has completed courses such as beginners Auslan, Bronze Medallion, and several field specific first aid units. Their free time is spent playing softball and caring for their many pets.

Deklan

CAS Stirling Manager

Deklan had been a part of CAS since 2016, volunteering whilst in high school and is now part of the core team. He is always inclusive and works to make all activities accessible to everyone. He has demonstrated this by studying Auslan Certificate 2 and 3. In his spare time Deklan plays Futsal, watches sport and plays video games. He has supported his Futsal club by helping coach and train teams, whilst showing a leadership role.

Aleisha

Aleisha is a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with varied experience as an education assistant and a disability support worker. Aleisha has worked with CAS since 2018 assisting young adults in accessing the community and developing independent living skills. Aleisha has certifications II-IV in Education Support. Aleisha also has a side hobby making body products that she enjoys to do when she is not busy at work or making new memories with her children.

Jacob

Jacob has been working with CAS for over a year now and loves every bit of it. Jacob is currently working part time as he’s a full time University student studying Management and Finance. While he didn’t have any previous professional experience in this industry, Jacob was very eager to take on all the learnings that come with support work. When he’s  not working at CAS Jacob loves doing anything with his friends in the outdoors from camping to sports activities.

Nicole has built her career around supporting people with diverse learning needs. She began as an Education Assistant while studying for her Bachelor of Education, specialising in special needs, and has now spent over a decade working at an Education Support School. With more than 14 years of hands-on experience, she’s passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where everyone can thrive.
In her spare time, she loves going to gigs, adding to her vinyl record collection, cheering on the Fremantle Dockers, going to the beach and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Stephanie joined CAS in 2024 because of a strong desire to make a difference. With her whole family also involved in the organization her connection runs deep, fueled by a genuine desire to see inclusivity for diverse needs. Her background as a registered nurse brings extra skills and understanding to her work with CAS participants. Outside of work, Steph cherishes time with her husband, three kids, and their dog, and is very involved in her netball club.

- Jet has been with the team since February 2024 and has loved connecting with the participants at CAS. Although she doesn't have prior experience in this industry, she has worked in a variety of people focused settings including banking, retail and fitness. This has given her the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and abilities. Upon starting with us she has completed her beginner Auslan certificate and she has loved learning and working in this industry. Outside of work she loves walks at the beach, catching up with friends, trying new sports/activities and spending time with her partner and cheeky little chihuahua.

Nicky joined the Community Access Squad in 2024, bringing her background as a qualified Early Childhood Educator. Transitioning into support work, she discovered a deep passion for assisting individuals with disabilities, valuing the meaningful relationships formed with participants. Raised on a farm, Nicky embodies the values of hard work and community. Family-oriented, she enjoys caring for her animals and embracing the outdoors. With her down-to-earth attitude and genuine care for others, Nicky brings warmth, reliability, and a whole lot of heart to the team.

- Andy has worked at CAS since the beginning of 2024. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Computer Science at UWA. Andy’s younger brother has an intellectual disability, which fuels his passion for supporting young adults to live their best lives! He loves the Freo Dockers and plays basketball in his spare time.

Christina

Cristina has been working as a support worker since 2021. She loves being part of a wider supporting community. Cristina has not been working for CAS for long but loves every bit of it, as every day is a new adventure.  Cristina holds a Cert 3 in Education support, Diploma of youth work, and currently finishing her studies in Diploma of community services. Her aim is to provide a safe and fun environment where participants can strengthen and develop new skills while having a good time.  Cristina is originally from Colombia and her first language is Spanish. In her spare time she likes going to new places, learning new things and spending time with her family.

Monique started working with CAS in 2023. She is studying a degree in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University after recently graduating from high school! Before joining, Monique has had personal experience working with a family member who requires extra support. This has built up her love for helping others in the community. Alba is currently pursuing a degree in primary education with a specialisation in supporting individuals with disabilities. She began volunteering with CAS at the end of 2020 and transitioned to casual employment shortly thereafter, all while continuing her studies.
Alba has gained valuable experience working in mainstream primary school classrooms and has also supported students with disabilities in both primary and secondary school settings. In addition to her educational background, Alba holds Certificate III and IV in Fitness, with extensive experience assisting both children and adults in achieving their fitness goals. She has been working part-time with CAS since the beginning of 2024.

Squad Leaders for the Cities of:

Fremantle / Melville / Cockburn / Kwinana / Canning / Stirling / Busselton / Margaret River / Bunbury

We are looking for casual carers (and part time positions from time to time) that can work in a group or independently with our fantastic squad members.

If you are patient, organised, reliable, fun, energetic and a great communicator then we want you on our team. You must hold a criminal history clearance, valid working with children card, snr first aid certificate, a detailed resume, current drivers licence (C class) with an immaculate driving history.

Please let us know your availability to work alongside our squad members with one to one care if you wish to pick up extra hours.

This is a flexible service and is request dependent. The shifts usually involve weekend hours (with penalty rates) or weekday afternoons shifts.
